Many thousands of young people and adults have experienced Futures Camps and Courses over the past 20 years. We are constantly learning and adapting everything we do and will continue to do so in order to make our Camps the best in the world.

Coaches and Welfare Staff
All our coaches and welfare staff are appropriately qualified, CRB checked and have had first aid and safeguarding training. We have developed a strong team ethos over the years and have many staff who return year on year. We employ high quality, fun, fair people with bags of enthusiasm and knowledge.

Our Head coach changes from camp to camp, however, they are all Level 3 or 4 qualified with current knowledge and generally with international playing and or coaching experience. They are supported by a team of Level 2 Lead coaches.

Our staff to student ratio is approximately 1 to 4.

We fundamentally believe that providing the best people in key roles makes for an exciting, productive and memorable camp for the students.

Coaching Groups and Programme
Each Camp has 4 or 5 groups, depending on numbers and range of abilities. Assessments take place on Day 1 of camp and players are grouped by ability. There is of course flexibility with this and therefore some movement between groups during the week.

For each sport we have a constantly evolving technical and tactical skill development programme. The programme is adapted by the Head and Lead coaches to meet the needs and level of each group. As well as focusing on the core skill elements of the England Hockey Single System and in preparing students for progression through the player pathway – JDC, JRPC, HiPAC, we also incorporate the best ideas and training techniques from other systems, including the Dutch, Australian and Asian systems.

Health & Safety & Accomodation
We take the health, safety and welfare of the students very seriously. Our welfare teams have all successfully completed nationally recognised Safeguarding and Child Protection and First Aid training.  Every member of our staff is fully involved in making sure all aspects of the camps meet our high standards.  All staff are openly recruited and carefully selected from a range of backgrounds to give a balance of experiences. All go through a full application and recruitment process which includes an Enhanced Criminal Records check.

Each child is allocated a Group Leader who is responsible for their pastoral care throughout their stay. Our Leaders are supported by our Welfare Team who together ensure that the needs of all the children are fully met.

Our accomodation site at Moulton College has clearly defined secure boundaries which are monitored by CCTV and professional security staff 24 hours per day.  In addition our on site staff conduct regular checks of the accommodation and social areas of the campus.

Facilities
Moulton College, located in rural Northamptonshire, is a purpose build education establishment with outstanding facilities.  Accommodation is in modern single and twin mainly en-suite bedrooms which are housed in secure key and code blocks in the centre of the main campus.  Catering is provided by the fully equipped on-site restaurant which provides a choice of menus prepared to a high standard and to suit all tastes.  Any individual dietary requirements can be easily catered for.
