Employment Opportunities with Futures Sports Summer 2019. We are now inviting expressions of interest for the staff team at our SPORTS CAMPS this summer.
ABOUT THE CAMPS
Our residential Summer Hockey Camp programme has been running successfully since 1991. This summer we will be running 9 camps, 7 at Moulton College (Northants) and 2 at Loughborough University. The Camps are predominantly residential, with 60 to 100 boys & girls aged 9 to 18 each week (aged 16 to 21 at Loughborough).
A typical day on camp includes – breakfast – 3 hours coaching – lunch – 2 hours coaching – 1 hour competition – rest – dinner – 1.5 hours chill out activities – rest. All coaching is on one of 3 all weather pitches with evening activities on grass, rubber crumb or indoor. The coaching programme is player centred and based on the FIH Hockey Academy technical and tactical skills for hockey. The coaching team are expected to adapt delivery to the needs of the individual player and the group.
The overall aim of each Camp is to provide a fun, safe learning environment that supports and challenges young players. The standard of players varies from club to national age group but is generally county/region level. The High Performance Camp is intended to be a step up and to mimic the experience a player would have at a HiPAC or NAG’s Camp with England Hockey. The Elite Camp is intended to replicate an international camp environment.
