Your point of view
OK, so you don`t care how long we`ve been doing this for, who our partners are, how many welfare staff we have... really, you just want to know if your mates have been, was it awesome, are they going again, if so, which week?
The following is a little bit of an insiders view of what a week on camp is like.
Hockey Experience
Katie, age 14 from England
The coaches are great fun and there are so many of them! There are lots of groups so you can move around depending on whether your`e really serious about improving or just want to be with your friends.
Tom, age 16 from England
We had 3 coaches for our group of 14, one was an England coach, one was an international player and the other was there to make us laugh...I think! All the sessions were fun but challenging. My favorite was the sliding deflections. It was pretty cool to get masterclasses from Maddie Hinch & Santi Freixa!
Residential Experience
Gabrielle, age 13 from Netherlands
I was in a corridor with seven other girls. Coming from Holland I didn`t know anyone, but the staffie in our corridor was really cool and we did lots of games to get to know each other on the first day. My english was OK before camp but I am sure it improved.
Adam, age 16 from England
I was in the boys block with 2 friends from school and five other boys, two from Germany, two from Spain and a South African! I was in a twin room but most were singles. In free time we mostly chilled in the day room, watching TV or chatting.
Evening Experience
Louise, age 16 from Belgium
There is a different programme each night. Everyones favorite, including the staff!, is Thursday Rave Night. My second favorite was Futures Got Talent, there were a couple of great singers and some really funny acts.
James, age 11 from England
On another night we went to the field and played a tournament of different sports in our Olympic teams. Almost forget - the water fight and awesome water slide on Wednesday! Its all good fun.
